Why can't I hear any audio on my Mac?

Using Caption.Ed on your Mac and now can't hear any sound? Don't worry, we are here to help.

When Caption.Ed is active on your Mac, your Mac's audio is directed to the Caption.Ed application; this allows Caption.Ed to "listen" to the audio so it can provide captions. The audio is then routed back out to your speakers or headphones so you can listen to it, too. When the Caption.Ed application is stopped it should revert the audio routing back to normal.

Occasionally, something can stop the audio from being re-routed properly, but this can be easily resolved by following the steps below:

Step 1: Go to 'System Preferences' on your Mac

Step 2: Go to 'Sound'

Step 3: Select 'Output'

Step 4: Select the device you wish the audio to be played through (headphones/speaker).

Now, when you play audio on your Mac it should come out of your selected output device.
