I've been given a Caption.Ed license key through the DSA/Access to Work, how do I get started?

You may have received a Caption.Ed license key through the Disabled Students Allowance ("DSA") or Access to Work schemes in the UK. If this is the case, you'll need to create a new personal account and activate your license key by following these steps.

Step 1: You'll need to create a free Caption.Ed account (without signing up for a free trial). To do this, click here to complete our online DSA/Access to Work license form. You'll need to confirm the Caption.Ed license key that's been given to you, as well as a few other details. Once everything has been validated, you'll receive a welcome email with a link to create your Caption.Ed account.

If you've already created a Caption.Ed account, then skip to step 2.

Step 2: Once you've created your account, you'll be taken to your Caption.Ed Dashboard. You can also log-in here.

Step 3: Select the "Settings" option on the left, and then select "Account Details".

Step 4: Scroll down the page till you see "Redeem licence key". Enter your license key and select "Redeem".

Your Caption.Ed account is now ready to go! You can log-in and use Caption.Ed in your Chrome or Edge browser via an extension, or you can download the desktop application.

You can start captioning right away, but we recommend that you go through our brief tutorial to help you get started.

Alternatively, our support page has tonnes of information to help you use Caption.Ed, and you can always reach out to us directly if you need any further support.
