Why is my audio crackling?

Occasionally you might find that whilst running Caption.Ed your audio crackles. This is normally only when using the browser application, and it is normally a sign that your computer is struggling to run too much at once. 

We would recommend you try the following steps: 

  1. Ensure you are running the latest version of Chrome or Edge browsers, and update the software if required.
  2. Close all applications, web tabs other than the media you wish to view/meeting you are in, and Caption.Ed. 
  3. If crackling is ongoing then please ensure you have a strong internet connection here
  4. If crackling persists we'd strongly recommend you move to the desktop Caption.Ed application.
