Using Caption.Ed in face-to-face interactions

Caption.Ed can be used to caption face-to-face discussions off-screen Whether it is a team meeting, group discussion, or a lecture; Caption.Ed can detect and caption the voices from around the room.

Step 1: Ensure you have the Desktop Application installed

Firstly, you will need to download and install the desktop application. Follow the links below if you haven't installed Caption.Ed to your desktop yet. 

Using Caption.Ed for Windows

Using Caption.Ed for Mac

Once installed, open the Caption.Ed application.

Step 2: Set the audio input on your device to 'microphone'

Follow the instructions in the video below to ensure your audio input is set up correctly.

Step 3: Start Captioning

Once you press start, the microphone will detect the voices in the room and begin captioning. You will see the captioning bar appear on the screen and once the microphone detects speech the text will appear on the screen.
