Moving from a trial to a paid account

For the majority of customers, if you have a trial license, you will then navigate to your dashboard, and top up with credit. This will automatically convert your trial account to a paid account. There are no extra steps and the rest of this article doesn't apply to you.

For some users, you may sign up for a trial account and then have a third party, such as a university or employer, supply you with an account. You will be supplied with new log-in credentials which may either be a license key, or a username and password.

I've been provided a license key

Your new username and password will provide you access to a completely new account, separate from your original trial account. This new account will have the purchased credit assigned to it.

You will need to log out of your trial account and log in using your new credentials.

  • To log out of the desktop applications, click the log out button.
  • For Mac this can be found by clicking the Caption.Ed icon in the top right-hand corner of the screen

  • To log out of the Browser application, right-click the application and click remove from Chrome.
  • You can then add the Browser extension back and log in using the link here.

Logging in

  • You will be asked to log in to the application on opening for the first time. You will be provided options to Sign Up, Sign In, or enter License Key.
  • If you have a license select the option to enter a license key.
