Deploying Caption.Ed for a University

This is a brief overview of how Caption.Ed can be deployed across an institution. Rest assured when it comes to deploying Caption.Ed for your institution we'll be there to support you every step of the way and ensure it is a success.

Overview

We understand that every university is different and as such we have a number of ways in which Caption.Ed can be licensed. Similarly, you can choose how you would like to deploy Caption.Ed across your institution. Generally speaking, we have three options:

1. Invite only- this is for when you only want specific students to be granted access to Caption.Ed. You can invite them through your institutional dashboard. This is simple to do and the student will receive an email invite to use Caption.Ed.

2. Registration pending approval- using this method would make your potential users aware that Caption.Ed is available and would provide them with a sign-up link. The users would then sign themselves up to use the software but would be required to have a specific institutional email domain in order to complete the registration process. You would be alerted to which students have requested access and would be able to approve or deny their access to Caption.Ed via your dashboard.

3. Open Sign Up- using this method, you would make your potential users aware that Caption.Ed is available and would provide them with a sign-up link. The users would then sign themselves up to use the software but would be required to have a specific institutional email domain in order to complete the registration process. Upon successful registration, they would automatically be granted access to the software.
